Stealing?

Rex and I are out of toilet paper.  We meant to go to the store last night, but I was stuck at a ridiculously long school board meeting (aka it started at 6, and I left at 11 but it was still going on).  We didn't get a chance to go.

Tonight, our good friend Elle took us out to dinner because she won big gambling on the strip with her sister (and her sister's money, ha ha).  YAY Elle!  Anyway, I went to the bathroom at the restaurant, and I saw two whole rolls of toilet paper, just sitting there...  Rex and I won't be able to go to the store until tomorrow, and what if I have to...you know...GO before then?

Long story short, I took a bunch of toilet paper and stuffed it into my bra like an optimistic middle school girl.  Is that stealing, or is it opportunistic?  I mean, we needed toilet paper!  The place has a bunch of it!  Plus, if I would have had really bad diarrhea or something, it's entirely possible that I could have used that much toilet paper at their restaurant.  Last time I checked there were no restrictions or regulations on toilet paper usage.  I just had some "for here" and then some "to go."  Restaurants are always doing that sort of thing, right?  RIGHT?!?!

Okay, fine.  I'm a wackadoo.  There's a fine line between smart and crazy, and I think I crossed it somewhere.

  1. I love how you don't post this on your other blog...then again I really don't think women in the 1950s stuffed their bra's with toilet paper because they were out.

  2. lol. I think Elle is right. That is hilarious though! I'm sure each customer is taxed a tiny surcharge within the food prices for toilet paper... so you were probably on the up and up.
