I am all better now and no longer have to watch ridiculous television shows to waste my life away on Rex's uncle's couch. I HATE being sick. Apparently I am not alone in being sick, though, because at least four more KAMSC workers have been out sick this week. It's almost like flu season, but it's the MIDDLE OF THE SUMMER!
Despite being sick, this summer is still AMAZING. I will admit, I have never struggled so much with holding back on cyber PDA, because being married is FREAKING AWESOME and Rex is the best guy in the whole world. Okay there I am done now. Anyway, I am really excited because tomorrow Rex and I are going to "Woofstock," a dog festival in Kalamazoo. Yes, you read that correctly - a dog festival. I never used to be a huge dog person, but I am now! I think the main reason is because of how incredibly happy Rex gets whenever he sees a dog. It's like, you know how girls always dream of how a man's face lights up whenever he lays eyes on her and the emotions of love and devotion just shine through? Well, that is what Rex's face looks like every time he looks at a dog. Ha ha. It even works on chihuahuas. He says he hates them, but he still gets a goofy grin every time one passes by. One of my favorite memories of being sick (if good memories about being sick are possible) is one night when Rex came home from work, he laid my tired head on his lap and read me a book of dog breeds. He didn't actually read the book, though, but just flipped through the pictures and told me the breed name and a fun fact about each dog. He didn't even have to read the page - he just knew random facts about each one! If it has four legs and barks, he loves it. That's why Woofstock is going to be SO FUN!!!
Tonight Rex was working, so I had "family night" for the first time since I can remember. My dad grilled out, and the four of us (My parents and Cara and I) had an awesome steak dinner on the deck and then went to go watch the new movie Despicable Me. Um, that movie was HILARIOUS!!! We all loved it. Cara's been all popular lately and it always out with friends, so I hardly see her. My dad is usually out at a party somewhere, and I am usually with Rex. It was awesome to have just the four of us together again. It made me almost (ALMOST) sad that Rex and I don't want to have a family of our own someday. Oh well. We will have family night with our dogs. :-)
